In the 45th minute, Giannis Psichomanis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Giannis Psichomanis in the 51st minute of play forced Drowning Pool FC's goalkeeper Prodromos Kaklamanakis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 57 minutes into the match, Drowning Pool FC's goal looked a bit too open when Giannis Psichomanis came free, but Prodromos Kaklamanakis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lakis Giotoulis got free with Prodromos Kaklamanakis in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Avraam Iordanopoulos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dionysis Papafanopoulos in the 71st minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Giannis Psichomanis in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Prodromos Kaklamanakis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 83rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Drowning Pool FC's goalkeeper Prodromos Kaklamanakis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Drowning Pool FC's zone, Giannis Psichomanis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Prodromos Kaklamanakis came out of the goal and Giannis Psichomanis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 90th minute Giannis Psichomanis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Prodromos Kaklamanakis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mesimιri BC were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
