Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Lambros Santamouris made the kick off which started today's match. Nasos Mavrokordatos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kostas Pavlakos having to interfere. Avraam Iordanopoulos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lambros Santamouris, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kostas Pavlakos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Giannis Psichomanis in the 7th minute of the match. Kostas Pavlakos made a fantastic save in the 8th minute, when Lakis Giotoulis sent off a good shot on target. In the 9th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mesimιri BC's goalkeeper Avraam Iordanopoulos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Kostas Perdikouris fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Avraam Iordanopoulos having to interfere. Mesimιri BC's Lakis Giotoulis got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kostas Partalakis kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Lakis Giotouliss short, quick shot in the 21stth minute got Kostas Pavlakos to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 22 minutes into the match, Mesimιri BC's goal looked a bit too open when Kostas Perdikouris came free, but Avraam Iordanopoulos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A hard shot by Vassilis Kontargyris from long distance, 28 minutes into the match, got Kostas Pavlakos's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Kostas Pavlakos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giannis Psichomanis in the 34th minute of play. In the 35thth minute of the game Lambros Santamouris who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mesimιri BC's Avraam Iordanopoulos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 37 minutes, Giannis Psichomanis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mesimιri BC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Giannis Psichomanis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lakis Giotoulis got free with Kostas Pavlakos in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 41st minute Lambros Santamouris shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Avraam Iordanopoulos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Giannis Psichomanis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The wind increased when Giannis Psichomanis made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Kostas Perdikouris shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Avraam Iordanopoulos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nasos Mavrokordatos kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. In the 61st minute, Lakis Giotoulis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Prokopis Zachalios fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored A.E. KANALIWN's protests and gave Prokopis Zachalios a yellow card for diving instead. Prokopis Zachalios kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Lakis Giotoulis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Lakis Giotoulis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Prokopis Zachalios kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Lakis Giotoulis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kostas Pavlakos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. Kostas Pavlakos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Giannis Psichomanis, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Charilaos Katsidimas charged in rather forcefully in the 85th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Charilaos Katsidimas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The audience was convinced that Giannis Psichomanis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kostas Pavlakos was relentless in the 89th minute of the game. In the 91st minute, Ignatios Ioannou hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the A.E. KANALIWN defense, Lakis Giotoulis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kostas Pavlakos. The A.E. KANALIWN fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kostas Pavlakos should have stopped the shot. For all the effort they put into the match, the A.E. KANALIWN players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Mesimιri BC.
