An unexpectedly hard shot by Iason Charatos in the 17th minute of play forced NINAGIO FC's goalkeeper Thanos Kourkouvelas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in NINAGIO FC's zone, Paris Mitras stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Thanos Kourkouvelas came out of the goal and Paris Mitras tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 21 minutes into the match, ROMANOS's goal looked a bit too open when Kosmas Vakoufaris came free, but Miltos Stroggilos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of NINAGIO FC booed when ROMANOS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fanis Stamatakopoulou didn't get a good kick on the ball. Errikos Tsolakidis took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 23rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Miltos Stroggilos. ROMANOS's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When Ntinos Charalambakis fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored NINAGIO FC's protests and gave Ntinos Charalambakis a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to NINAGIO FC getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Ntinos Charalambakis hit a great ball. Thanos Kourkouvelas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iason Charatos, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. NINAGIO FC's Christos Perivolakis got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Iason Charatos got free with Thanos Kourkouvelas in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee felt a red card was in order, 38 minutes into the game, when Notis Vourlis put in a rough tackle. The supporters of ROMANOS booed when NINAGIO FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Notis Vourlis didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 40 played minutes, ROMANOS's Theodosis Iakovakis shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Thanos Kourkouvelas came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in ROMANOS reached it. In the 46th minute of the match Fanis Stamatakopoulou shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Thanos Kourkouvelas showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Iason Charatos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Paris Mitras managed to get in a good position for a shot. ROMANOS's supporters rose to their feet, but Paris Mitras was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Thanos Kourkouvelas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 55th match minute, NINAGIO FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Errikos Tsolakidis to maneuver through the defense. 59 minutes into the match, NINAGIO FC's goal looked a bit too open when Paris Mitras came free, but Thanos Kourkouvelas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Manos Giotidis struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Miltos Stroggilos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for NINAGIO FC. NINAGIO FC's Thanos Kourkouvelas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sakis Karageorgiou in the 91st minute of play. Paris Mitras fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thanos Kourkouvelas having to interfere. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
