Chatziantoniou Veniamin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sakis Kalabalikis having to interfere. Zacharias Tsartas might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Thodoris Vamvakeris. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zacharias Tsartas ran back to his position shaking his head. Giorgos Zamanopoulos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Thodoris Vamvakeris tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Chelsea's Nikos Sardelis got a free kick in the 23rd minute. The audience was convinced that Vaggelis Limnios's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sakis Kalabalikis was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. A collision led to Genésio BC getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Zacharias Tsartas hit a great ball. After having played for 32 minutes, Michalis Tzekos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chelsea's supporters crossed their fingers, but Michalis Tzekos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 44th minute, Vaggelis Limnios got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Zacharias Tsartas was the one to do the kick off. Thodoris Vamvakeris took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zacharias Tsartas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In a very dangerous position, a player in Genésio BC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 59th minute. Penalty! Alkinoos Fanaras shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. When Vaggelis Limnios came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Chelsea fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vaggelis Limnios couldn't finish the play. In the 64th match minute, Genésio BC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Giorgos Nikolaidis to maneuver through the defense. Chelsea's Alkinoos Fanaras couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 65th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Genésio BC. Zacharias Tsartas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Genésio BC's Daniil Piomenos suffered a concussion after 73 minutes and had to leave the field. When Nikos Sardelis fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chelsea's protests and gave Nikos Sardelis a yellow card for diving instead. Zacharias Tsartas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Thodoris Vamvakeris tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 79th minute, Giorgos Nikolaidis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Michalis Tzekos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sakis Kalabalikis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vaggelis Limnios in the 88th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Michalis Tzekos got free with Sakis Kalabalikis in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Michalis Tzekos who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 91stth minute tested the skills of Sakis Kalabalikis when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Genésio BC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 93rd minute, when Vaggelis Limnios scored to the left of an out of position Sakis Kalabalikis, making the score, 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vaggelis Limnios in the 97th minute of play forced Genésio BC's goalkeeper Sakis Kalabalikis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Zacharias Tsartas during the 98th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Chelsea booed when Genésio BC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 98 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zacharias Tsartas didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Chelsea had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
