The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thanasis Zintanidis in the 19th minute of play forced A.E. KANALIWN's goalkeeper Kostas Pavlakos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 21 minutes into the match, A.E. KANALIWN's goal looked a bit too open when Thanasis Zintanidis came free, but Kostas Pavlakos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kostas Pavlakos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thanasis Zintanidis in the 27th minute of play. When Lambros Santamouris came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the A.E. KANALIWN fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lambros Santamouris couldn't finish the play. 33 minutes into the match, MANAGERNONDAS F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Lambros Santamouris came free, but Louis Giannikos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanasis Zintanidis blasted a shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kostas Pavlakos having to make a save. After having played for 43 minutes, Kostas Perdikouris managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. A.E. KANALIWN's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kostas Perdikouris was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Thanasis Zintanidis made a kick off. Lambros Santamouris was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 52nd minute. A.E. KANALIWN's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Kostas Perdikouris sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Kostas Perdikouris might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Louis Giannikos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kostas Perdikouris ran back to his position shaking his head. Louis Giannikos was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Lambros Santamouris showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 70 minute of play. Louis Giannikos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lambros Santamouris, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute.
