Spectators: 7687 (Terracing: 5766, Seating: 1768, VIP seats: 153) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Sofoklis Theodoridis started the match with the kick off. Alexandros Krevetzakis charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alexandros Krevetzakis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Othonoí Stadium's Alexandros Krevetzakis got a free kick in the 4th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sofoklis Theodoridis in the 9th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Stefanos Asimakopoulos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Othonoí Stadium's Theofanis Paschalidis got a free kick in the 10th minute. If Grigoris Karageorgopoulos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Giorgos Poulianitis's late challenge caught a Othonoí Stadium's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Giorgos Poulianitis helped the player get up and apologised. Giorgos Poulianitis kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Sofoklis Theodoridis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stefanos Asimakopoulos having to interfere. Nikos Kourtis charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nikos Kourtis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Alexandros Krevetzakis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alexandros Krevetzakis struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Stefanos Asimakopoulos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Othonoí Stadium. After 39 played minutes, Iraklis's Dimos Bitoulas shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Iraklis Valassis came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Iraklis reached it. With a little luck, Iraklis's Stefanos Asimakopoulos got control of the ball when Charis Kabouridis tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Sofoklis Theodoridis came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Othonoí Stadium fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sofoklis Theodoridis couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Iraklis's Dionysis Papapetrou got a free kick in the 43rd minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Stratos Bakiris made a kick off. Dionysis Papapetrou hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Iraklis's Stefanos Asimakopoulos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sofoklis Theodoridis in the 58th minute of play. Grigoris Karageorgopoulos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 62 minutes into the match, Grigoris Karageorgopoulos notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Othonoí Stadium's Iraklis Valassis. Iraklis Valassis was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 66th minute, Sofoklis Theodoridis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alexandros Krevetzakis blasted a shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Stefanos Asimakopoulos having to make a save. Stefanos Asimakopoulos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alexandros Krevetzakis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alexandros Krevetzakis might have been able to make a better finish in the 72nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Stefanos Asimakopoulos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alexandros Krevetzakis ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sofoklis Theodoridis in the 77th minute of play forced Iraklis's goalkeeper Stefanos Asimakopoulos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alexandros Krevetzakis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dionysis Papapetrou hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Stefanos Asimakopoulos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexandros Krevetzakis in the 83rd minute of play. 85 minutes into the match, Othonoí Stadium's goal looked a bit too open when Stratos Bakiris came free, but Iraklis Valassis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 95 minutes into the match, Othonoí Stadium's Alexandros Krevetzakis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Stefanos Asimakopoulos narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
