Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Vrasidas Toursounidis took the kick off in the first half of the match. 7 minutes into the match, Thanos Manesis had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Andreas Renieris. Spyros FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Thanos Manesis was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Andreas Renieris showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vrasidas Toursounidis, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Miltiadis Papanastasis blasted a shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Stamatis Rozaklis having to make a save. In the 17th minute, Spyros FC's Fanis Sarafidis dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. Giannis Kalaitzidis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Andreas Renieris showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vrasidas Toursounidis in the 30th minute of the match. Andreas Renieris took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thanos Manesis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Loukianos Tsichlas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The supporters of Olympiakos FC booed when Spyros FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tasos Zachariadis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vrasidas Toursounidis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Andreas Renieris tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Giannis Kalaitzidis might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Andreas Renieris. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Giannis Kalaitzidis ran back to his position shaking his head. After 69 minutes, Chatziioannou Bonovas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Spyros FC and the Olympiakos FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 69 played minutes Spyros FC got a freekick which was hit by Chatziioannou Bonovas. Fanis Sarafidis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 74th minute, Miltiadis Papanastasis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Olympiakos FC's Stamatis Rozaklis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fanis Sarafidis in the 77th minute of play. If Miltiadis Papanastasis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fanis Sarafidis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute.
