Olympiakos FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Koutsodimos the free kick. Thanos Manesis kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. Stamatis Rozaklis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nikos Labiris, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. 8 minutes into the match, Olympiakos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Lakis Seremetis came free, but Stamatis Rozaklis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Lakis Seremetis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stamatis Rozaklis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lakis Seremetis in the 11th minute of play. Nikolas Stagos's late challenge caught a Koutsodimos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nikolas Stagos helped the player get up and apologised. Vrasidas Toursounidis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Lakis Seremetis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Stamatis Rozaklis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 22nd minute by Loukianos Tsichlas got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Giannis Kalaitzidis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Olympiakos FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Giannis Kalaitzidis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Charilaos Kaplatzis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 28 played minutes Koutsodimos got a freekick which was hit by Emmanouil Baxevanis. Vrasidas Toursounidis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Charilaos Kaplatzis having to interfere. Giannis Kalaitzidis struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Charilaos Kaplatzis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Olympiakos FC. The audience was convinced that Nikos Labiris's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Stamatis Rozaklis was relentless in the 39th minute of the game. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind Olympiakos FC's goalkeeper Stamatis Rozaklis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Nikos Labiris fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stamatis Rozaklis having to interfere.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nikos Labiris to strike the kick off in the second half. Koutsodimos's Menios Kollias shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 54th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Stamatis Rozaklis but with some difficulty. Through an outstanding action, after 55 minutes, Stamatis Rozaklis successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Lakis Seremetis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Koutsodimos's supporters rose to their feet, but Lakis Seremetis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Stamatis Rozaklis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Olympiakos FC's zone, Nikos Labiris stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stamatis Rozaklis came out of the goal and Nikos Labiris tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanos Manesis was shown his second yellow card after 61 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Thanos Manesis kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. In the 63rd minute, Nikos Labiris fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Lakis Seremetis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stamatis Rozaklis having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Koutsodimos's Nasos Kiousis got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Stamatis Rozaklis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nikos Labiris, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 90th minute Loukianos Tsichlas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Charilaos Kaplatzis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tasos Panoutsos charged in rather forcefully in the 92nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tasos Panoutsos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Tasos Panoutsos kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. After having played for 93 minutes, Vrasidas Toursounidis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Olympiakos FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vrasidas Toursounidis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Olympiakos FC were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
