Vrasidas Toursounidis charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vrasidas Toursounidis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 44th match minute, Olympiakos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vrasidas Toursounidis to maneuver through the defense. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vrasidas Toursounidis made a kick off. Thanos Manesis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andreas Renieris having to interfere. In the 77th minute, Fanis Sarafidis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Miltiadis Papanastasis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thrasivoulos Parlapipas hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Fanis Sarafidis might have been able to make a better finish in the 96th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Stamatis Rozaklis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fanis Sarafidis ran back to his position shaking his head. When the final whistle went the supporters of Spyros FC were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Olympiakos FC side.
