The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Iraklis Vasiliou managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bνsia FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Iraklis Vasiliou was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Antonis Kakouris breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nikiforos Tirogalos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gerasimos Salepis having to interfere. In the 15th minute Theofanis Kallas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gerasimos Salepis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 16th minute, Iraklis Vasiliou got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Theofanis Kallas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gerasimos Salepis having to interfere. Bνsia FC's Gerasimos Salepis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Theofanis Kallas in the 20th minute of play. If Iraklis Vasiliou had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 29th minute of the match, Theofanis Kallas tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Gerasimos Salepis saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Partalia's Antonis Kakouris played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iraklis Vasiliou in the 40th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Bνsia FC's Errikos Renieris got a free kick in the 43rd minute. After 45 minutes, Valerios Stelakoglou mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Partalia and the Bνsia FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 45th minute, Valerios Stelakoglou hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Lefteris Mousios hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. A nice corner shot did that Markos Lazarellis got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Gerasimos Salepis quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Nikiforos Tirogalos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gerasimos Salepis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. Partalia's Theofanis Kallas got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Partalia's Antonis Kakouris proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Partalia from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Theofanis Kallas managed to get in a good position for a shot. The supporters of Partalia booed when Bνsia FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Soulis Leonardos didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Nikiforos Tirogalos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gerasimos Salepis was relentless in the 94th minute of the game. The Bνsia FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Bνsia FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
