In the 3rd minute Panos Platonidis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vaios Trigonakis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Panos Platonidis in the 5th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vaios Trigonakis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some careless play in the A.O. Kavalas defense, Panos Platonidis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vaios Trigonakis. The A.O. Kavalas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vaios Trigonakis should have stopped the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Panos Platonidis in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vaios Trigonakis saved A.O. Kavalas from getting behind. A.O. Kavalas's Vaios Trigonakis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Panos Platonidis in the 17th minute of play. The Peristeri A.E fans' excitement grew in the 22nd match minute when Peristeri A.E's Panos Platonidis looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Vaios Trigonakis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Panos Platonidis in the 25th minute of play. Vaios Trigonakis didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Panos Platonidis went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Panos Platonidis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Vaios Trigonakis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Sotiris Aggelidis came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Peristeri A.E fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sotiris Aggelidis couldn't finish the play. When Peristeri A.E's Panos Platonidis in the 31st minute got a chance for a shot 31st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye A.O. Kavalas's goalie prevented a goal. In the 35th match minute, A.O. Kavalas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vaios Kostenoglou to maneuver through the defense. The Peristeri A.E fans' excitement grew in the 37th match minute when Peristeri A.E's Panos Platonidis looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Peristeri A.E's attack was well implemented in the 41st minute, but when Panos Platonidis was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. The supporters of Peristeri A.E booed when A.O. Kavalas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Babbis Giannoglou didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vaios Trigonakis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Panos Platonidis in the 45th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Anthimos Charalambidis made a kick off. A.O. Kavalas's Vaios Trigonakis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save A.O. Kavalas from getting a goal against them. Anthimos Charalambidis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Panos Platonidis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Vaios Trigonakis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Kostas Kalifoulis fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Peristeri A.E's protests and gave Kostas Kalifoulis a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Peristeri A.E getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Kostas Kalifoulis hit a great ball. 65 minutes into the match, A.O. Kavalas's goal looked a bit too open when Panos Platonidis came free, but Vaios Trigonakis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 67 minutes, Panos Platonidis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Peristeri A.E's supporters crossed their fingers, but Panos Platonidis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Panos Platonidis made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 68thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Vaios Trigonakis would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. Peristeri A.E's attack was well implemented in the 70th minute, but when Panos Platonidis was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. 74 minutes into the match, A.O. Kavalas's goalkeeper Vaios Trigonakis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Panos Platonidis. The audience thought a goal was coming when Panos Platonidis got free with Vaios Trigonakis in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Panos Platonidis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Vaios Trigonakis made a huge save. In the 86thth minute of the game Panos Platonidis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but A.O. Kavalas's Vaios Trigonakis was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 87 minutes into the game, Stavros Alexiou recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Vaios Trigonakis. Stavros Alexiou showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-5. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Panos Platonidis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Peristeri A.E's supporters rose to their feet, but Panos Platonidis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vaios Trigonakis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Stavros Alexiou had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vaios Trigonakis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sotiris Aggelidis in the 96th minute. The A.O. Kavalas fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Peristeri A.E were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
