Aris Palavakis's late challenge caught a Palio Kavalas FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aris Palavakis helped the player get up and apologised. In the 14th match minute, Skνathos BC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aris Palavakis to maneuver through the defense. After 14 played minutes, Palio Kavalas FC's Iason Nikolopoulos shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Pavlos Meletopoulos came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Palio Kavalas FC reached it. Ilias Kakaris took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Viktoras Tsirogiannis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Skνathos BC's zone, Telis Raptakis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pavlos Meletopoulos came out of the goal and Telis Raptakis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Grigoris Tzanetoulatos kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Palio Kavalas FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Iason Nikolopoulos in the 24th minute. Iason Nikolopoulos made a great header on Palio Kavalas FC's corner, it was just that Skνathos BC's Pavlos Meletopoulos managed to reach the ball for a save. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Viktoras Tsirogiannis to strike the kick off in the second half. After 52 minutes of play Palio Kavalas FC's Fokas Ritsos was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Telis Raptakis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Pavlos Meletopoulos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Sakis Martinos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After having played for 72 minutes, Viktoras Tsirogiannis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Skνathos BC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Viktoras Tsirogiannis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Minas Koulakiotis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Palio Kavalas FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Minas Koulakiotis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pavlos Meletopoulos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpected shot in the 88th minute by Sakis Martinos got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 90 minutes into the match, Skνathos BC's goalkeeper Pavlos Meletopoulos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Telis Raptakis. Ilias Kakaris showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Viktoras Tsirogiannis, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Marios Loubadiaris's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ilias Kakaris read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. Viktoras Tsirogiannis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Palio Kavalas FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
