In the 25th minute, Panionios FC's Christos Karagiannopoulos ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Pavlos Stamatakos. Pavlos Stamatakos yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. After 29 minutes Pastida Fc's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Christos Karagiannopoulos who took care of the corner kick. Christos Karagiannopoulos in the 31stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Pavlos Stamatakos, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 34 minutes into the match, Panionios FC's goal looked a bit too open when Valentinos Chaniotakis came free, but Minas Kakavos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Telis Zacharatos charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Telis Zacharatos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

In the 52nd minute, Giannis Persias left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Panionios FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Giannis Persias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pavlos Stamatakos having to interfere. During the 56th minute of the match Telis Zacharatos completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Telis Zacharatos a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Telis Zacharatos hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Panionios FC's Christos Karagiannopoulos managed to work through Pastida Fc's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Christos Karagiannopoulos dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. The audience was convinced that Christos Karagiannopoulos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pavlos Stamatakos was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Christos Karagiannopoulos in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pavlos Stamatakos saved Pastida Fc from getting behind. After 91 played minutes Panionios FC got a freekick which was hit by Stratos Tsatsoulis. Trifon Bogris received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Minas Kakavos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Panionios FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
