An unexpectedly hard shot by Dimitris Stavratos in the 3rd minute of play forced Elatokhσri's goalkeeper Daniil Bakalopoulos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Dimitris Stavratos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Prodromos Stratakos who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 8thth minute tested the skills of Daniil Bakalopoulos when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After recieving a nice pass, Asteras FC's Evaggelos Kakalos tried to score from far away in the 10th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After 12 played minutes Asteras FC got a freekick which was hit by Theofanis Mavromatakis. If Dimitris Stavratos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alexandros Koutsilas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aris Trontzos, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Pavlos Thanopoulos charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pavlos Thanopoulos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 18 played minutes Asteras FC got a freekick which was hit by Pavlos Thanopoulos. Alexandros Koutsilas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aris Trontzos in the 20th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Asteras FC's Theofanis Mavromatakis got a free kick in the 26th minute. 27 minutes into the match, Elatokhσri's Trifon Kouveliotis broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Prodromos Stratakos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Elatokhσri's zone, Dimitris Stavratos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Daniil Bakalopoulos came out of the goal and Dimitris Stavratos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Elatokhσri's Panos Tzanetos got a free kick in the 35th minute. In the 38th minute, Pavlos Thanopoulos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alkinoos Kabourakis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexandros Koutsilas having to interfere. Alkinoos Kabourakis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Alexandros Koutsilas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Asteras FC's Prodromos Telakoglou got a free kick in the 46th minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alkinoos Kabourakis to make the kick off. Prodromos Telakoglou's late challenge caught a Elatokhσri's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Prodromos Telakoglou helped the player get up and apologised. In the 52nd minute, Prodromos Telakoglou hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 53rd minute, Trifon Kouveliotis sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Asteras FC's Alexandros Koutsilas didn't even have to move. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aris Trontzos got free with Alexandros Koutsilas in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Aris Trontzos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 58 minutes in the game, Alkinoos Kabourakis fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Alexandros Koutsilas having to interfere. Prodromos Stratakos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Daniil Bakalopoulos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 73rd minute, Prodromos Stratakos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
