Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Achilleas Voulgarakis in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ilias Kakaris prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Nontas Asimoulis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Telis Raptakis in the 15th minute. After having played for 16 minutes, Telis Raptakis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Palio Kavalas FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Telis Raptakis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Palio Kavalas FC's Ilias Kakaris played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Menelaos Tsobanakis in the 21st minute of play. Nontas Asimoulis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sakis Martinos in the 23rd minute of play. After 26 played minutes Sakis Martinos rounded Αrdhosos FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Αrdhosos FC's goalkeeper Nontas Asimoulis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Nontas Asimoulis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sakis Martinos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Achilleas Voulgarakis in the 38th minute of play forced Palio Kavalas FC's goalkeeper Ilias Kakaris to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fokas Ritsos charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fokas Ritsos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Palio Kavalas FC getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Fokas Ritsos hit a great ball. Achilleas Voulgarakis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ilias Kakaris having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sakis Martinos was the one to do the kick off. Panagiotis Vertsonis kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. 54 minutes had been played when some careless play by Αrdhosos FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Iason Nikolopoulos was slow to take the kick. During this time Palio Kavalas FC's players had a chance to rest. Palio Kavalas FC's Iason Nikolopoulos was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Nontas Asimoulis in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 56 minutes into the game, Palio Kavalas FC's Telis Raptakis nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. After 68 played minutes Αrdhosos FC got a freekick which was hit by Valerios Kanavidis. 72 minutes into the match, Αrdhosos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Sakis Martinos came free, but Nontas Asimoulis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Achilleas Voulgarakis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nontas Asimoulis didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Telis Raptakis went, in the 78th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. When Menelaos Tsobanakis came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Αrdhosos FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Menelaos Tsobanakis couldn't finish the play. When Minas Koulakiotis fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Palio Kavalas FC's protests and gave Minas Koulakiotis a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Αrdhosos FC booed when Palio Kavalas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Minas Koulakiotis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Achilleas Voulgarakis blasted a shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ilias Kakaris having to make a save. Palio Kavalas FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
