Napoli's Eustratios Kyriakos suffered a sore foot after 7 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Evaggelos Vangelis charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Evaggelos Vangelis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. S.S.C. Napoli's Eustratios Beis was substituted for Eustratios Kyriakos. Evaggelos Vangelis hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Theofilos Kostikos struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Vassilis Makrikostas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for S.S.C. Napoli. If Stamatis Savouridis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 25 minutes into the match, Supernova's goal looked a bit too open when Stamatis Savouridis came free, but Vassilis Makrikostas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vassilis Makrikostas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stamatis Savouridis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Supernova's Vassilis Makrikostas got control of the ball when Thanos Zablakos tried to sneak it across the goal line. Evaggelos Vangelis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Takis Krezias having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Stamatis Savouridis managed to get in a good position for a shot. S.S.C. Napoli's supporters rose to their feet, but Stamatis Savouridis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vassilis Makrikostas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Thanos Zablakos got free with Vassilis Makrikostas in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Theofilos Kostikos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Vassilis Makrikostas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Evaggelos Vangelis was the one to do the kick off. Takis Krezias made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Nasos Papageorgopoulos sent off a good shot on target. Nasos Papageorgopoulos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Takis Krezias made a huge save. 1-0 became the score in the 59th minute when Stamatis Savouridis elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Theofilos Kostikos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Takis Krezias took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Evaggelos Vangelis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Supernova getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Valerios Stavrakos hit a great ball. Evaggelos Vangelis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Takis Krezias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. S.S.C. Napoli's Stamatis Savouridis got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanos Zablakos scored 3-0 in the 77th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vassilis Makrikostas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Takis Krezias took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Evaggelos Vangelis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 87 minutes into the game, Alexandros Melogiannis recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Takis Krezias. Alexandros Melogiannis showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-1. Takis Krezias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexandros Melogiannis in the 91st minute of play.
