If Nasos Papageorgopoulos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vlassis Karamitros kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Ilias Kakaris was out of position in the 13 minute of play, and Evaggelos Vangelis capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Evaggelos Vangelis really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Supernova's Vassilis Makrikostas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Telis Raptakis in the 19th minute of play. Evaggelos Vangelis might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ilias Kakaris. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Evaggelos Vangelis ran back to his position shaking his head. Evaggelos Vangelis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ilias Kakaris having to interfere. Evaggelos Vangelis got in the 24th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Ilias Kakaris handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Ilias Kakaris made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nasos Papageorgopoulos in the 25th minute. Nasos Papageorgopoulos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vassilis Makrikostas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Telis Raptakis's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. After a rather tough play, Supernova's Fanis Loubadiaris got a free kick in the 31st minute. The audience was convinced that Sakis Martinos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vassilis Makrikostas was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. Palio Kavalas FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Iason Nikolopoulos in the 34th minute. After some careless play in the Supernova defense, Sakis Martinos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vassilis Makrikostas. The Supernova fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vassilis Makrikostas should have stopped the shot. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Evaggelos Vangelis to make the kick off. In the 51st match minute, Palio Kavalas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Louis Papanikolas to maneuver through the defense. Vassilis Makrikostas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sakis Martinos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 59th minute Palio Kavalas FC were awarded a corner. Iason Nikolopoulos went to the cornerflag to take it. Palio Kavalas FC's Iason Nikolopoulos was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Vassilis Makrikostas in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Nasos Papageorgopoulos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ilias Kakaris made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nasos Papageorgopoulos in the 65th minute of play. In the 71st match minute, Palio Kavalas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fotis Theriaklis to maneuver through the defense. Ilias Kakaris showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nasos Papageorgopoulos in the 73rd minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nasos Papageorgopoulos in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ilias Kakaris prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ilias Kakaris took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nasos Papageorgopoulos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Telis Raptakis struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Vassilis Makrikostas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Palio Kavalas FC. Vassilis Makrikostas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sakis Martinos, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. A collision led to Supernova getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Valerios Stavrakos hit a great ball. 83 minutes into the match, Supernova's goal looked a bit too open when Sakis Martinos came free, but Vassilis Makrikostas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Palio Kavalas FC's zone, Evaggelos Vangelis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ilias Kakaris came out of the goal and Evaggelos Vangelis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vassilis Makrikostas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sakis Martinos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
