The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Kleanthis Karabelopoulos struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Theofanis Psichogiopoulos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Skafνdhi FC. Theofanis Psichogiopoulos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Menios Leras, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Anastasios Marinos took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 14th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Theofanis Psichogiopoulos. Stavraki FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Stavraki FC's zone, Menios Leras stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Theofanis Psichogiopoulos came out of the goal and Menios Leras tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Theofanis Psichogiopoulos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Menios Leras in the 20th minute of play. Menios Leras recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 38th minute of the match Anastasios Marinos sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Theofanis Psichogiopoulos skillfully saved the ball. In the 40th minute Anastasios Gavriilidis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stathis Seremetidis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 44 played minutes Stavraki FC got a freekick which was hit by Anastasios Gavriilidis. When Stathis Pagonakis fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Skafνdhi FC's protests and gave Stathis Pagonakis a yellow card for diving instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kleanthis Karabelopoulos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Menios Leras received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Theofanis Psichogiopoulos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Stathis Seremetidis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nestoras Chiotis, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Nestoras Chiotis blasted a shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Stathis Seremetidis having to make a save. The Stavraki FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Skafνdhi FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Skafνdhi FC.
