The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute, Ilias Tataridis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Periklis Kalamatas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nikos Kanatas in the 6th minute of play. Ntinos Chatzopoulos struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. A wasted opportunity for Fanari FC. 15 minutes into the game, Ntinos Chatzopoulos recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Kostas Kaliris. Ntinos Chatzopoulos showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. 21 minutes into the match, Fanari FC's goal looked a bit too open when Nikos Kanatas came free, but Periklis Kalamatas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Καππαδοκία F.C's Ilias Tataridis got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kostas Kaliris showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ntinos Chatzopoulos, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Periklis Kalamatas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ilias Tataridis in the 29th minute of the match. Nikos Kanatas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Periklis Kalamatas having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nikos Kanatas in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Periklis Kalamatas saved Fanari FC from getting behind. After having played for 40 minutes, Ntinos Chatzopoulos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fanari FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ntinos Chatzopoulos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 42 minutes into the match, Ntinos Chatzopoulos dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Kostas Kaliris, 2-0. Nikos Kanatas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Periklis Kalamatas having to interfere. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ntinos Chatzopoulos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 58th minute, Καππαδοκία F.C's Nikos Kanatas ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Periklis Kalamatas. Periklis Kalamatas yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2. Periklis Kalamatas was out of position in the 63 minute of play, and Nikos Kanatas capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Nikos Kanatas really showed his touch with that goal: 2-3. If Ilias Tataridis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ilias Tataridis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Periklis Kalamatas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. 77 minutes into the match, Adamantios Sapounelis had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kostas Kaliris. Καππαδοκία F.C's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Adamantios Sapounelis was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-3. In the 81st minute Nikos Kanatas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Periklis Kalamatas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A hard shot 84 in the game by Ilias Tataridis from a close distance when the talented Periklis Kalamatas managed to make a qualified save. Fanari FC's players were relieved. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nikos Kanatas in the 85th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Periklis Kalamatas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 87th minute, Ilias Tataridis made a precise shot to the right of Periklis Kalamatas. Fanari FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-4. The audience was convinced that Nikos Kanatas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Periklis Kalamatas was relentless in the 94th minute of the game. Adamantios Sapounelis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the final whistle sounded Καππαδοκία F.C left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Fanari FC.
