But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nikos Kanatas couldn't finish the play. Ilias Tataridis might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Michalis Leontiou. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Michalis Leontiou was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Nikos Kanatas showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 42 minute of play. Skoúnda FC's Michalis Leontiou proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Skoúnda FC from getting a goal against them. Nikos Kanatas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Michalis Leontiou having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nikos Kanatas made a kick off. Kostas Kaliris showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valentinos Theodorou in the 56th minute of the match. After 58th play minutes Nikos Kanatas shot 2-0, a short shot which went by Michalis Leontiou and just under the crossbar into goal. Vaios Grifisas kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Michalis Kapranos kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Vrasidas Kyriakou's late challenge caught a Skoúnda FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vrasidas Kyriakou helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Skoúnda FC booed when Καππαδοκία F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vrasidas Kyriakou didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Skoúnda FC getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Vaios Grifisas hit a great ball. 73 minutes into the game, one of Skoúnda FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The supporters of Skoúnda FC booed when Καππαδοκία F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ignatios Kastanakis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nikos Kanatas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Michalis Leontiou tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nikos Kanatas might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Michalis Leontiou. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nikos Kanatas ran back to his position shaking his head. After 88th play minutes Nikos Kanatas shot 4-0, a short shot which went by Michalis Leontiou and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 95th match minute, Skoúnda FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vaios Grifisas to maneuver through the defense. Babbis Kanonopoulos tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Michalis Leontiou. An unnecessary self made goal, 5-0 in the 96th minute. Kostas Kaliris was out of position in the 100 minute of play, and Vaios Grifisas capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Vaios Grifisas really showed his touch with that goal: 5-1. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Καππαδοκία F.C had played much better football throughout.
