Leondαqwki's Panos Panagoulias proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save Leondαqwki from getting a goal against them. Panos Panagoulias made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Fondas Gitkos sent off a good shot on target. Leondαqwki's Argyris Melas got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vιrga FC's Petros Chrisochoidis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lambros Louverdis in the 72nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zinon Martinakos in the 73rd minute of play forced Leondαqwki's goalkeeper Panos Panagoulias to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fondas Gitkos's late challenge caught a Leondαqwki's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fondas Gitkos helped the player get up and apologised. Fondas Gitkos hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. If Argyris Melas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 79 minutes into the match, Fondas Gitkos dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Panos Panagoulias, 1-5. Viktoras Melopoulos struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Panos Panagoulias didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vιrga FC. In a very dangerous position, a player in Leondαqwki fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 89th minute. Penalty! Giorgos Solomos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Fondas Gitkos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match was over Vιrga FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Leondαqwki throughout the match.
