Avraam Petalidis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Plakoti's Avraam Petalidis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Avraam Kromlidis in the 19th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Plakoti's Renos Karanikolaou got a free kick in the 22nd minute. After 25 played minutes Bistroaula BC got a freekick which was hit by Eutichios Poursaitidis. Michalis Mallios showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sotiris Troupkos in the 34th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 35 minutes, Dimitris Argyropoulos took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Michalis Mallios to make any attempt to save it. Stratos Mamakos charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Stratos Mamakos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Michalis Mallios made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Dimitris Argyropoulos sent off a good shot on target. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sotiris Troupkos made a kick off. Avraam Kromlidis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Avraam Petalidis having to interfere. Bistroaula BC's Michalis Mallios played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sotiris Troupkos in the 63rd minute of play. Michalis Mallios showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dimitris Argyropoulos, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. After 70 played minutes Bistroaula BC got a freekick which was hit by Ignatios Seremetopoulos. Ignatios Kapsis took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 71st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Michalis Mallios. Bistroaula BC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Miltos Kapelas in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Avraam Petalidis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Avraam Kromlidis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Plakoti booed when Bistroaula BC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zisis Spyrakos didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Bistroaula BC defense, Sotiris Troupkos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Michalis Mallios. The Bistroaula BC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Michalis Mallios should have stopped the shot.
