Athletic Athens 2007 FC's Iwan Januszewski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Apostolis Papadimakos in the 4th minute of play. Panagiotis Nalbantis might have been able to make a better finish in the 7th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Miltos Glossopoulos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Panagiotis Nalbantis ran back to his position shaking his head. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Ludwig Geraerts managed to get in a good position for a shot. Super3's supporters rose to their feet, but Ludwig Geraerts was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Iwan Januszewski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kostas Nistikakis hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. After 12 minutes Athletic Athens 2007 FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Aimilios Valassas who took care of the corner kick. A collision led to Athletic Athens 2007 FC getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Antonis Skevofilakas hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Apostolis Papadimakos in the 15th minute of play forced Athletic Athens 2007 FC's goalkeeper Iwan Januszewski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Ludwig Geraerts had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 19th minute, Ludwig Geraerts reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Iwan Januszewski. The goal made the score 1-0. 23 minutes into the game, Apostolis Papadimakos recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Iwan Januszewski. Apostolis Papadimakos showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Apostolis Papadimakos struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Iwan Januszewski didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Super3. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Antonis Skevofilakas during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Miltos Glossopoulos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Panagiotis Nalbantis in the 45th minute of the match. Alexandros Kafritzakis might have been able to make a better finish in the 46th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Miltos Glossopoulos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alexandros Kafritzakis ran back to his position shaking his head. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Iwan Januszewski didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ludwig Geraerts went, in the 52nd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. After having played for 55 minutes, Ludwig Geraerts managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Super3's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ludwig Geraerts was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Iwan Januszewski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Apostolis Papadimakos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alexandros Kafritzakis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Miltos Glossopoulos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Ludwig Geraerts had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alexandros Kafritzakis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Miltos Glossopoulos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alexandros Kafritzakis in the 76th minute. The supporters of Super3 booed when Athletic Athens 2007 FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexandros Kafritzakis didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Super3 fans cheered their team off the field, for while Athletic Athens 2007 FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
