Christos Kapetanopoulos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thodoris Kounenakis, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. bye bye's Christos Kapetanopoulos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anestis Tsitouras in the 17th minute of play. With an all-out effort, Gσnthi's Christos Kapetanopoulos threw himself towards the right post 27 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Thodoris Kounenakis, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Aggelos Kazoleas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Christos Kapetanopoulos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Minas Pandrakis came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by bye bye's Vrasidas Banellis. But to his dismay, Vrasidas Banellis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Marios Prekkas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Anestis Tsitouras got free with Christos Kapetanopoulos in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 44th match minute, Gσnthi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aggelos Kazoleas to maneuver through the defense. Minas Pandrakis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marios Prekkas, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Minas Pandrakis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marios Prekkas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half bye bye were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Christos Kapetanopoulos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 71 minutes into the match, Gσnthi's goalkeeper Minas Pandrakis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lazaros Chrisochoidis.
