In the 5th minute, one of Dragonflies:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Dragonflies. The referee gave Patrida a penalty, 7 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Emmanouil Sidiropoulos, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Dragonflies's Elano Meirelles. 0-1. Christos Vandis lost his temper 21 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Patrida fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 21st minute. Penalty! Sandro de Souza shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Urbano Camerino hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. 28 minutes into the game, Markos Papastavrou was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Patrida's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Dragonflies the free kick. In the 29th minute, Markos Papastavrou hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Emmanouil Sidiropoulos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emmanouil Sidiropoulos in the 43rd minute of play forced Dragonflies's goalkeeper Elano Meirelles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Panos Salepis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Elano Meirelles read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Emmanouil Sidiropoulos was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dimitris Iaveris in the 86th minute of play forced Patrida's goalkeeper Loukianos Poursanidis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Loukianos Poursanidis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dimitris Iaveris in the 87th minute of the match. In the 89th minute, Markos Papastavrou hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 92 minutes, Emmanouil Sidiropoulos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Patrida's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emmanouil Sidiropoulos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Elano Meirelles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zacharias Venetidis, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. Patrida played a much better game than Dragonflies and deserved their victory. The Dragonflies players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
