Menelaos Koublis didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as PANATHINAIKOS's Marios Tzanetis slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Panos Adamiadis. That made the score 1-0 after 9 minutes of play. BEPOIA's Panos Adamiadis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save BEPOIA from getting a goal against them. Kleanthis Pallis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ken Troxler having to interfere. Panos Adamiadis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Theocharis Kottikas in the 17th minute of play. The PANATHINAIKOS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-0. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. PANATHINAIKOS fully deserved thier win.
