In the 31st minute, Benedykt Topolski made a precise shot to the right of Christos Chatzidakis. Nea Smirni's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind Límnos BC's goalkeeper Manolis Konstantinou, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Christos Chatzidakis, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Flavien Pirat made the kick off in the second half. Nikolas Topalidis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christos Chatzidakis having to interfere. If Flavien Pirat had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, Límnos BC's Vaggelis Votsis got a free kick in the 65th minute. In the 69th minute, Nea Smirni's Markos Zouganelis ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Manolis Konstantinou. Manolis Konstantinou yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-1. The referee felt a red card was in order, 78 minutes into the game, when Theodosis Eleftheriou put in a rough tackle. Nea Smirni's Christos Chatzidakis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Flavien Pirat in the 84th minute of play. 89 minutes into the match, Nea Smirni's goal looked a bit too open when Flavien Pirat came free, but Christos Chatzidakis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Benedykt Topolski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Benedykt Topolski managed to get in a good position for a shot. Límnos BC's supporters rose to their feet, but Benedykt Topolski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Christos Chatzidakis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 94th match minute, Nea Smirni was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vaggelis Fragos to maneuver through the defense.
