Miltos Ziogas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Themos Kalevras made a huge save. 11 minutes into the game, Paulinho Sousa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ARDRA FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Nea Smirni the free kick. A collision led to ARDRA FC getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. The throw-in from Vaggelis Nebegleras in the 33rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by ARDRA FC's Viktoras Kapareliotis. 34 minutes into the match, Nea Smirni's goal looked a bit too open when Paulinho Sousa came free, but Christos Chatzidakis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. ARDRA FC's Emanuel Rey quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Vaggelis Nebegleras, made in the 36th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in ARDRA FC's zone, Miltos Ziogas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Themos Kalevras came out of the goal and Miltos Ziogas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 40th minute, Fernandão de Brito hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Miltos Ziogas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Themos Kalevras made a huge save. Nikitas Papalexis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Michalis Anagnostakis made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Giorgos Stravogiannos in the 58th minute of play forced ARDRA FC's goalkeeper Themos Kalevras to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 62 minutes, Paulinho Sousa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ARDRA FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paulinho Sousa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 67 minutes into the match, Nea Smirni's goalkeeper Christos Chatzidakis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Michalis Anagnostakis. If Giorgos Stravogiannos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 90th minute Giorgos Stravogiannos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Themos Kalevras saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
