Petros Diamantidis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Sαnga BC getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Christos Kroustallis hit a great ball. In the 27th minute Fanis Belos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Louis Seichanidis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Louis Seichanidis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nikolas Protopapadakis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 28 played minutes Atletico de Madrid got a freekick which was hit by Stelios Adamiadis. Atletico de Madrid's Louis Seichanidis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Atletico de Madrid from getting a goal against them. In the 34th match minute, Atletico de Madrid was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Petros Diamantidis to maneuver through the defense. Louis Seichanidis was out of position in the 37 minute of play, and Fanis Belos capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Fanis Belos really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. An unexpected shot in the 43rd minute by Sokratis Xenopanagos got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Nikolas Protopapadakis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 45 minutes into the match, Atletico de Madrid's goalkeeper Louis Seichanidis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fanis Belos. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fanis Belos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Gery De Kelper notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Atletico de Madrid's Louis Seichanidis. Louis Seichanidis was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A throw-in in the 56th minute of the game was made by Alekos Katsiabis with Fanis Belos as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Louis Seichanidis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fanis Belos in the 57th minute of play. 59 minutes into the match, Fanis Belos had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Louis Seichanidis. Atletico de Madrid's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fanis Belos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. After some careless play in the Atletico de Madrid defense, Fanis Belos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Louis Seichanidis. The Atletico de Madrid fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Louis Seichanidis should have stopped the shot. If Fanis Belos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Atletico de Madrid's Louis Seichanidis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christos Kroustallis in the 77th minute of play. When Sαnga BC's Fanis Belos in the 82nd minute got a chance for a shot 82nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Atletico de Madrid's goalie prevented a goal. In the 84th minute, Nikolas Protopapadakis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the referee ended the match the Sαnga BC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
