Spectators: 7100 (Terracing: 6000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 100) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Daniil Malezas took the kick off in the first half of the match. Marios Martinopoulos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Prokopis Tsiolis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Louis Seichanidis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Akis Siatzis in the 11th minute of play. Stelios Adamiadis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Marios Martinopoulos made a huge save. Akis Siatzis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Louis Seichanidis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. In the 19th minute, Takis Kardaris made a precise shot to the right of Louis Seichanidis. Atletico de Madrid's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Marios Martinopoulos made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Daniil Malezas sent off a good shot on target. 35 minutes into the match, Metaxádhes BC's goal looked a bit too open when Prokopis Tsiolis came free, but Marios Martinopoulos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 45th minute of the match Nikos Karousis shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Louis Seichanidis showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Takis Kardaris stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Metaxádhes BC's Marios Martinopoulos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stelios Adamiadis in the 53rd minute of play. Nikos Karousis's late challenge caught a Atletico de Madrid's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nikos Karousis helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Metaxádhes BC's Nikos Karousis got a free kick in the 57th minute. Atletico de Madrid's Stamatis Stathakoglou couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 58th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Metaxádhes BC. In the 61st match minute, Metaxádhes BC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nikos Karousis to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Atletico de Madrid booed when Metaxádhes BC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Charilaos Massoutis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Daniil Malezas in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marios Martinopoulos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Kostas Leontakos hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Takis Kardaris in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Louis Seichanidis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 74 minutes into the match, Takis Kardaris notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Atletico de Madrid's Louis Seichanidis. Louis Seichanidis was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to Metaxádhes BC getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Emmanouil Papafotakos hit a great ball. In the 79th minute Daniil Malezas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marios Martinopoulos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 79 minutes into the game, Emmanouil Papafotakos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Metaxádhes BC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Atletico de Madrid the free kick. After 79 played minutes Metaxádhes BC got a freekick which was hit by Emmanouil Papafotakos. The audience thought a goal was coming when Takis Kardaris got free with Louis Seichanidis in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Akis Siatzis hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Metaxádhes BC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
