Renos Papoutsas struck a weak shot in the 3rd minute. Daniil Kalaintzidis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for RIO FC. Ignatios Meletis who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 5thth minute tested the skills of Daniil Kalaintzidis when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ignatios Meletis got free with Daniil Kalaintzidis in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Renos Papoutsas took the ball and in the 7 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Daniil Kalaintzidis. Daniil Kalaintzidis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. In the 9th minute, Demis Tassakos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as RIO FC's Renos Papoutsas slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Daniil Kalaintzidis. That made the score 2-0 after 11 minutes of play. If Renos Papoutsas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sokratis Tsagarakis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Daniil Kalaintzidis stood somewhat misplaced when Ignatios Meletis came free in front of goal and shot 3-0 to the left of him in the 17 minute. Daniil Kalaintzidis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Renos Papoutsas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniil Kalaintzidis having to interfere. With an all-out effort, RIO FC's Daniil Kalaintzidis threw himself towards the right post 34 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Sokratis Tsagarakis, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Renos Papoutsas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Daniil Kalaintzidis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With his leg Daniil Kalaintzidis managed to avoid a goal in the 37thth minute, when RIO FC's Renos Papoutsas fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Renos Papoutsas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ignatios Meletis struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Βύζας Μεγάρων's Daniil Kalaintzidis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ignatios Meletis in the 54th minute of play. If Sokratis Tsagarakis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 57 minutes into the match, Βύζας Μεγάρων's goal looked a bit too open when Sokratis Tsagarakis came free, but Daniil Kalaintzidis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ignatios Meletis in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Daniil Kalaintzidis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The RIO FC fans' excitement grew in the 60th match minute when RIO FC's Renos Papoutsas looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 6-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. RIO FC's Sokratis Tsagarakis got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Daniil Kalaintzidis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sokratis Tsagarakis, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Filippos Mimidis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniil Kalaintzidis having to interfere. Avraam Pedoulakis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Apostolikas Soumedakis in the 67th minute of the match. In the 69th minute Βύζας Μεγάρων were awarded a corner. Fotis Persias went to the cornerflag to take it. Βύζας Μεγάρων's Fotis Persias was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Avraam Pedoulakis in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Renos Papoutsas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Daniil Kalaintzidis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Renos Papoutsas in the 76th minute of play. Ignatios Meletis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Daniil Kalaintzidis didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Renos Papoutsas went, in the 83rd minute, to the upper right corner, 7-0 was the resulting score. Daniil Kalaintzidis came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by RIO FC's Renos Papoutsas. But to his dismay, Renos Papoutsas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-0. Renos Papoutsas struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Daniil Kalaintzidis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for RIO FC. Filippos Mimidis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. RIO FC fully deserved thier win.
