Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. When the match clock showed 11 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Thanasis Peras sped through Tsirkoskila's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Dimitris Papatsakalos. Pantelis Verikokos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sofoklis Batiropoulos having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Petros Saveris in the 17th minute of play forced Asteras BC's goalkeeper Sofoklis Batiropoulos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Asteras BC's Sofoklis Batiropoulos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Asteras BC from getting a goal against them. In the 19th minute, Tsirkoskila's Petros Saveris dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. After 22 minutes, Zinon Savouras mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tsirkoskila and the Asteras BC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Zisis Papaggeloulis charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Zisis Papaggeloulis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 24th match minute, Tsirkoskila was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zisis Papaggeloulis to maneuver through the defense. Sofoklis Batiropoulos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Petros Saveris in the 26th minute of the match. Thanasis Peras sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sotiris Tsirigakis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Thanasis Peras in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dimitris Papatsakalos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Pantelis Verikokos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Iordanis Karaindros kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Dimitris Papatsakalos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thanasis Peras in the 44th minute of play. After 46 played minutes Asteras BC got a freekick which was hit by Iordanis Karaindros. Dimitris Papatsakalos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Thanasis Peras's shot from short distance in the 48th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The tension between the Tsirkoskila and the Asteras BC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Asteras BC booed when Tsirkoskila was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Koulis Paouris didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Asteras BC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
