Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Alkis Skandalidis got the match started through his kick off. When Alexis Basinas came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Sphinari fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alexis Basinas couldn't finish the play. Iakovos Grigorakos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Giannis Ifantidis having to interfere. Giannis Ifantidis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iakovos Grigorakos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 29th minute Apostolis Ioannou suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. When Andreas Tsebelis fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sphinari's protests and gave Andreas Tsebelis a yellow card for diving instead. After 29 played minutes Sphinari got a freekick which was hit by Andreas Tsebelis. Fanis Xifaras kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. In the 36thth minute of the game Alkis Skandalidis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but LIONS's Giannis Ifantidis was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Sphinari's Alkis Skandalidis got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 45th minute, LIONS's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Iakovos Grigorakos fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Themos Politis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Aris Nioplias charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aris Nioplias the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, LIONS's Aris Nioplias got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Iakovos Grigorakos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Giannis Ifantidis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Giannis Ifantidis didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Veniamin Dokos went, in the 66th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. A throw-in in the 71st minute of the game was made by Fanis Xifaras with Leonidas Seichanidis as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Iakovos Grigorakos struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Giannis Ifantidis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sphinari. In the 75th minute the ball was on its way in behind LIONS's goalkeeper Giannis Ifantidis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Sphinari's Kostas Vourkos got a free kick in the 81st minute. Kostas Vourkos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Giannis Ifantidis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Iakovos Grigorakos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sphinari's supporters rose to their feet, but Iakovos Grigorakos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Giannis Ifantidis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Giannis Ifantidis came out of the goal in the 94th minute to try and stop a shot by Sphinari's Alkis Skandalidis. But to his dismay, Alkis Skandalidis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. When the referee ended the match the Sphinari players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
