In the 10th match minute, Akinjalν BC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pavlos Baskakis to maneuver through the defense. Achilleas Tsopelas struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Fivos Thomas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gate13. Babbis Kariotakis didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nasos Sklavenitis went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 17th minute Thanos Sioulas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Babbis Kariotakis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Babbis Kariotakis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thanos Sioulas, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. In the 20th minute, Achilleas Tsopelas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Akinjalν BC's Renos Pefanis got a free kick in the 21st minute. Marinos Kandarakis struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Babbis Kariotakis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nasos Sklavenitis's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. When Akinjalν BC's Giannis Tachtsidis in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Gate13's goalie prevented a goal. If Marinos Kandarakis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Gate13 booed when Akinjalν BC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pavlos Baskakis didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 43 played minutes Gate13 got a freekick which was hit by Vassilis Kagiasis. After having played for 44 minutes, Panagiotis Xilouris managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Akinjalν BC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Panagiotis Xilouris was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Thanos Sioulas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 50 played minutes Akinjalν BC got a freekick which was hit by Renos Pefanis. When the match had gone on for 53 minutes, Thanos Sioulas took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Babbis Kariotakis to make any attempt to save it. In the 56th minute, Akinjalν BC's Thanos Sioulas ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Babbis Kariotakis. Babbis Kariotakis yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. In the 59th match minute, Akinjalν BC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nasos Sklavenitis to maneuver through the defense. Akinjalν BC's Nasos Sklavenitis got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Babbis Kariotakis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nasos Sklavenitis in the 68th minute. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gate13's goalkeeper Babbis Kariotakis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a little luck, Gate13's Babbis Kariotakis got control of the ball when Nasos Sklavenitis tried to sneak it across the goal line. Giannis Tachtsidis charged in rather forcefully in the 78th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Giannis Tachtsidis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. With his leg Babbis Kariotakis managed to avoid a goal in the 83rdth minute, when Akinjalν BC's Nasos Sklavenitis fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 94th minute, Thanos Sioulas fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post.
