Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Themos Politis made the kick off and thus started the match. In the 5th minute, Nasos Sklavenitis made a precise shot to the right of Giannis Ifantidis. LIONS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Aris Nioplias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Giannis Ifantidis made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Nasos Sklavenitis sent off a good shot on target. After 13 minutes LIONS's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Panagiotis Xilouris who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Akinjalν BC's Panagiotis Xilouris to fire away a dangerous shot which Giannis Ifantidis despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 15th minute, Apostolis Ioannou hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 19 minutes into the match, Aris Nioplias had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fivos Thomas. Akinjalν BC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Aris Nioplias was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Aris Nioplias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Fivos Thomas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pavlos Baskakis kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Fivos Thomas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Themos Politis in the 28th minute of the match. 30 minutes into the match, Akinjalν BC's goal looked a bit too open when Themos Politis came free, but Fivos Thomas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aris Kogas lost his temper 31 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After a rather tough play, Akinjalν BC's Aris Kogas got a free kick in the 32nd minute. If Lambis Strilakos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 34 minutes into the match, Akinjalν BC's goal looked a bit too open when Aris Nioplias came free, but Fivos Thomas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 35 minutes into the match, Themos Politis notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Akinjalν BC's Fivos Thomas. Fivos Thomas was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Nasos Sklavenitis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Apostolis Ioannou's late challenge caught a Akinjalν BC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Apostolis Ioannou helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, LIONS's Apostolis Ioannou got a free kick in the 40th minute. After having played for 41 minutes, Nasos Sklavenitis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Akinjalν BC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nasos Sklavenitis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Giannis Ifantidis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Renos Pefanis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 44 minutes into the match, LIONS's goalkeeper Giannis Ifantidis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nasos Sklavenitis. 46 minutes into the match, Nasos Sklavenitis had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Giannis Ifantidis. LIONS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nasos Sklavenitis was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nasos Sklavenitis was the one to do the kick off. Renos Pefanis took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Giannis Ifantidis. Giannis Ifantidis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. In the 58th minute, Themos Politis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The LIONS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-3. When Giannis Tachtsidis fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Akinjalν BC's protests and gave Giannis Tachtsidis a yellow card for diving instead. After 63 played minutes Akinjalν BC got a freekick which was hit by Giannis Tachtsidis. In the 66th minute Aris Nioplias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fivos Thomas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nasos Sklavenitis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. LIONS's Giannis Ifantidis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nasos Sklavenitis in the 72nd minute of play. 74 minutes into the match, Akinjalν BC's goal looked a bit too open when Aris Nioplias came free, but Fivos Thomas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 76 minutes into the match, Nasos Sklavenitis had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Giannis Ifantidis. After a defensive mix-up in LIONS's zone, Nasos Sklavenitis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Giannis Ifantidis came out of the goal and Nasos Sklavenitis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Giannis Ifantidis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Renos Pefanis, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. In the 81st minute Nasos Sklavenitis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giannis Ifantidis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fivos Thomas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aris Nioplias, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Fivos Thomas made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Aris Nioplias sent off a good shot on target. Akinjalν BC's Fivos Thomas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Akinjalν BC from getting a goal against them. Akinjalν BC's Nasos Sklavenitis got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 91 minutes into the game, Pavlos Baskakis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Akinjalν BC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave LIONS the free kick. The supporters of LIONS booed when Akinjalν BC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pavlos Baskakis didn't get a good kick on the ball.
