But to his dismay, Dimitris Katsanikos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Marinos Zebetoglou scored 0-4 in the 13th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Christoforos Labellis, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Christoforos Labellis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anastasios Kentikelenis in the 15th minute of the match. In the 17th minute Teodoro Oquendo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christoforos Labellis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Christoforos Labellis came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Rizareio's Marinos Zebetoglou. But to his dismay, Marinos Zebetoglou quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. 24 minutes into the game, Rizareio's Dimitris Katsanikos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Christoforos Labellis made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-6. The supporters of Sphinari booed when Rizareio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vaggelis Vrachos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Daniil Charisteas could shoot a difficult shot in the 30th minute, which Miltos Mavrofidis however easily saved by the left post. In the 31st match minute, Rizareio was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Uriel Illart to maneuver through the defense. Dimitris Katsanikos took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Christoforos Labellis. Christoforos Labellis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-7. Christoforos Labellis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dimitris Katsanikos's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. Anastasios Kentikelenis scored 0-8 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Christoforos Labellis, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Christoforos Labellis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teodoro Oquendo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanos Tsaousidis hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. In the 46th minute, Marinos Zebetoglou sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Sphinari's Christoforos Labellis didn't even have to move. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-8 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alkis Skandalidis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Petros Karantonis kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. In the 56th minute, Teodoro Oquendo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
