Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Sokratis Koukodimos took the kick off in the first half of the match. Tilemachos Vourkos came out of the goal in the 4th minute to try and stop a shot by Panathinaikos's Sokratis Koukodimos. But to his dismay, Sokratis Koukodimos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Tilemachos Vourkos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antonis Papagiannis in the 11th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alekos Sapounidis in the 12th minute of play forced The Athenians's goalkeeper Tilemachos Vourkos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ntinos Kalifoulis took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tilemachos Vourkos. Tilemachos Vourkos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Tilemachos Vourkos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antonis Papagiannis, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. In the 23rd match minute, The Athenians was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paris Iasonidis to maneuver through the defense. After 25 played minutes Panathinaikos got a freekick which was hit by Staffan Söderström. If Markos Nikolatos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Eleftherios Michailidis fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored The Athenians's protests and gave Eleftherios Michailidis a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, The Athenians's Eleftherios Michailidis got a free kick in the 35th minute. Panathinaikos's Ntinos Kalifoulis got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tilemachos Vourkos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antonis Papagiannis, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. In the 45th minute, Vassilis Romanakos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vaggelis Papoutsidis made a kick off. With a little luck, The Athenians's Tilemachos Vourkos got control of the ball when Antonis Papagiannis tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tilemachos Vourkos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antonis Papagiannis in the 54th minute of the match. Antonis Papagiannis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Tilemachos Vourkos made a huge save. If Takis Rafailidis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 59th match minute, The Athenians was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paris Iasonidis to maneuver through the defense. 60 minutes into the match, The Athenians's goal looked a bit too open when Antonis Papagiannis came free, but Tilemachos Vourkos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tilemachos Vourkos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antonis Papagiannis in the 67th minute of the match. Alekos Sapounidis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Tilemachos Vourkos made a huge save. Argyris Charakis's late challenge caught a Panathinaikos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Argyris Charakis helped the player get up and apologised. Argyris Charakis kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Panathinaikos's Staffan Söderström shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 70th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Tilemachos Vourkos but with some difficulty. Tilemachos Vourkos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sokratis Koukodimos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tilemachos Vourkos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Evaggelos Dermitzakis in the 74th minute of the match. In the 79th minute Alekos Sapounidis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tilemachos Vourkos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 82 minutes into the match, The Athenians's goalkeeper Tilemachos Vourkos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alekos Sapounidis. Tilemachos Vourkos made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Alekos Sapounidis sent off a good shot on target. Paris Iasonidis hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. The The Athenians fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Panathinaikos were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
