The supporters of Panathinaikos booed when Radomνr was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iosif Karathanasiou didn't get a good kick on the ball. Chris Thuault sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Radomνr's Iosif Karathanasiou got a free kick in the 9th minute. Antonis Papagiannis struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Dimosthenis Kalkavouras didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Panathinaikos. 21 minutes into the match, Radomνr's goalkeeper Dimosthenis Kalkavouras had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sokratis Koukodimos. In the 23rd minute Alekos Sapounidis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dimosthenis Kalkavouras saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 25th minute, Panathinaikos's Chris Thuault dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. With a little luck, Radomνr's Dimosthenis Kalkavouras got control of the ball when Chris Thuault tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dimosthenis Kalkavouras showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ntinos Kalifoulis, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Dimosthenis Kalkavouras made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Alekos Sapounidis sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 39 minutes, Pavlos Karnezis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Radomνr's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pavlos Karnezis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Panathinaikos's Ntinos Kalifoulis got a free kick in the 45th minute. A collision led to Panathinaikos getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Staffan Söderström hit a great ball. Pavlos Karnezis was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 47th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

In the 51st minute, Gerasimos Kostikos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Chris Thuault had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 58th minute Evaggelos Dermitzakis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dimosthenis Kalkavouras saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dimosthenis Kavourakos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Themis Giatropoulos's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. A collision led to Radomνr getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Kostas Lagidis hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Radomνr's zone, Antonis Papagiannis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dimosthenis Kalkavouras came out of the goal and Antonis Papagiannis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 78 minutes into the game, Panathinaikos's Sokratis Koukodimos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dimosthenis Kalkavouras made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. Dimosthenis Kalkavouras showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Evaggelos Dermitzakis in the 82nd minute of the match. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Evaggelos Dermitzakis advanced and headed the ball into goal, 5-0 in the 84th minute. 89 minutes into the match, Sokratis Koukodimos had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dimosthenis Kalkavouras. Radomνr's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sokratis Koukodimos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. Stathis Kareklopoulos hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Radomνr's Dimosthenis Kalkavouras played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antonis Papagiannis in the 95th minute of play. Panathinaikos walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
