Jan Gunnarsson started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute, Otsando Leis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vaggelis Ligeridis was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Atalanti F.C.'s Spyros Sfoliatas got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nélson Guerra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Spyros Sfoliatas in the 10th minute of the match. A hard shot by Alkis Christodoulakis from long distance, 24 minutes into the match, got Vaggelis Ligeridis's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Paraskevas Louverdis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nélson Guerra having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 29 minutes, Vaggelis Ligeridis successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Vaggelis Ligeridis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eugenios Stamatakos in the 30th minute of play. Nélson Guerra didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Karl-Erik Klint went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Atalanti F.C.'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Nikos Spelas in the 38th minute. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Anestis Valaoras got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 1-3. 38 minutes into the match. The supporters of B-PED The Academy booed when Atalanti F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anestis Valaoras didn't get a good kick on the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Spyros Sfoliatas was the one to do the kick off. Jan Gunnarsson charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jan Gunnarsson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 55 played minutes B-PED The Academy got a freekick which was hit by Jan Gunnarsson. Paraskevas Louverdis struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Nélson Guerra didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Atalanti F.C.. After having played for 59 minutes, Nikos Spelas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atalanti F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Nikos Spelas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Spyros Sfoliatas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Atalanti F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Spyros Sfoliatas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nélson Guerra breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nélson Guerra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Spyros Sfoliatas in the 74th minute of play. In the 78th minute Marko Viitanen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vaggelis Ligeridis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nikos Spelas got free with Nélson Guerra in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The B-PED The Academy supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Atalanti F.C.'s performance. The match ended with a win for Atalanti F.C..
