Almir Terra came out of the goal and Marinos Kostetsos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vassilis Manesis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Tilemachos Tokas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Eretria getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Giannis Tassoulis hit a great ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kleon Kouzoulidis to strike the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Eretria's goal looked a bit too open when Kleon Kouzoulidis came free, but Almir Terra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 96th minute Vassilis Manesis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tilemachos Tokas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eretria's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
