When Spyros Sfoliatas came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Atalanti F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Spyros Sfoliatas couldn't finish the play. After 24 played minutes Byzantium F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Evripidis Martinelos. Nikos Spelas struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Tilemachos Tokas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Atalanti F.C.. Spyros Sfoliatas scored 1-0 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tilemachos Tokas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paraskevas Louverdis in the 44th minute of play forced Byzantium F.C.'s goalkeeper Tilemachos Tokas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Paraskevas Louverdis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 49th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
