Π.Α.Ο.Κ's Apostolis Kartsolis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vassilis Manesis in the 10th minute of play. Apostolis Kartsolis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vassilis Manesis in the 13th minute of the match. In the 21st minute, Theofilos Serpanos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Almir Terra was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Theofilos Serpanos during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When Aimilios Kalokerinos came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Eretria fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aimilios Kalokerinos couldn't finish the play. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Vaggelis Antoniou to strike the kick off in the second half.
