The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Manolis Valassakos showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vassilis Tsopelas in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Manolis Valassakos saved Neon Skilitsi BC from getting behind. Manolis Valassakos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Charis Sakalakis in the 25th minute of the match. A collision led to Neon Skilitsi BC getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Menios Stavrinoudakis hit a great ball. When Charis Sakalakis, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 27 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Manolis Valassakos was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Neon Skilitsi BC's Manolis Valassakos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ilias Vidalis in the 30th minute of play. In the 32nd minute Giannis Dimitropoulos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manolis Valassakos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 32nd match minute, Neon Skilitsi BC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Panagiotis Dimitriou to maneuver through the defense. In the 33rd match minute, Atletico de Madrid was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vassilis Tsopelas to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ilias Vidalis in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Manolis Valassakos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The Atletico de Madrid fans' excitement grew in the 38th match minute when Atletico de Madrid's Ilias Vidalis looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When Ilias Vidalis came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Atletico de Madrid fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ilias Vidalis couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Ilias Vidalis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Manolis Valassakos was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Loukas Alevizos to make the kick off. 57 minutes into the match, Neon Skilitsi BC's goalkeeper Manolis Valassakos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ilias Vidalis. In the 59th minute of the match, Giannis Dimitropoulos tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Manolis Valassakos saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Neon Skilitsi BC's Manolis Valassakos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save Neon Skilitsi BC from getting a goal against them. Neon Skilitsi BC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Giannis Dimitropoulos 65 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-4. Manolis Valassakos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ilias Vidalis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 70 minutes into the match, Neon Skilitsi BC's goal looked a bit too open when Charis Sakalakis came free, but Manolis Valassakos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Manolis Valassakos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Charis Sakalakis in the 77th minute of play. Manolis Valassakos came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by Atletico de Madrid's Charis Sakalakis. But to his dismay, Charis Sakalakis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. 83 minutes into the match, Neon Skilitsi BC's goalkeeper Manolis Valassakos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ilias Vidalis. Manolis Valassakos made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Charis Sakalakis sent off a good shot on target. A hard shot 87 in the game by Ilias Vidalis from a close distance when the talented Manolis Valassakos managed to make a qualified save. Neon Skilitsi BC's players were relieved. Neon Skilitsi BC's Manolis Valassakos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Giannis Dimitropoulos in the 89th minute of play. With a little luck, Neon Skilitsi BC's Manolis Valassakos got control of the ball when Omiros Simos tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the final whistle sounded Atletico de Madrid left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Neon Skilitsi BC.
