Eretria's Konstantinos Goundoulakis got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Eretria's Almir Terra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Koulis Leventis in the 9th minute of play. In the 12th minute, Aimilios Kalokerinos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Eretria's Almir Terra proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Eretria from getting a goal against them. 27 minutes into the match, ΟΛΥΜΠΙΑΚΟΣ's goal looked a bit too open when Vassilis Manesis came free, but Vassilis Kalaintzidis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 28th minute, Konstantinos Goundoulakis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 29th match minute, Eretria was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Omiros Kechribaris to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aggelos Volanis during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Koulis Leventis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Almir Terra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 40th minute, Thodoris Kostetsos reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Almir Terra. The goal made the score 1-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Christos Vrinas managed to get in a good position for a shot. ΟΛΥΜΠΙΑΚΟΣ's supporters rose to their feet, but Christos Vrinas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Almir Terra breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Christos Vrinas was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 47th minute. ΟΛΥΜΠΙΑΚΟΣ's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Vassilis Manesis to strike the kick off in the second half. Aimilios Kalokerinos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Vassilis Kalaintzidis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Christos Vrinas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vassilis Kalaintzidis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Konstantinos Goundoulakis in the 65th minute of play. 75 minutes into the match, Eretria's goal looked a bit too open when Koulis Leventis came free, but Almir Terra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, ΟΛΥΜΠΙΑΚΟΣ's Thodoris Kostetsos got a free kick in the 76th minute. ΟΛΥΜΠΙΑΚΟΣ's Vassilis Kalaintzidis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vassilis Manesis in the 79th minute of play. When ΟΛΥΜΠΙΑΚΟΣ's Koulis Leventis in the 85th minute got a chance for a shot 85th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Giorgos Akrivakos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Koulis Leventis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
