But to his dismay, Apostolos Skopelitis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Filippos Samaropoulos got free with Sakis Velakos in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The audience was convinced that Christoforos Papardelas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dorotheos Kopanos was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. Apostolos Skopelitis kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. If Christoforos Papardelas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kostas Kalantidis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A collision led to Olympic Airways getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Michalis Giasemakis hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kostas Kalantidis in the 30th minute of play forced Olympic Airways's goalkeeper Dorotheos Kopanos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Apostolos Skopelitis hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Christoforos Papardelas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Christoforos Papardelas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Dikefalos's zone, Filippos Samaropoulos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sakis Velakos came out of the goal and Filippos Samaropoulos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Olympic Airways booed when Dikefalos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alkinoos Kapetanoglou didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Giannis Kalogiannis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 71st minute, Christoforos Papardelas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Dikefalos's Takis Arkadis got a free kick in the 72nd minute. In the 77th minute, Filippos Samaropoulos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Giannis Kalogiannis struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Sakis Velakos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Olympic Airways. Sakis Velakos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Giannis Kalogiannis in the 85th minute of the match. 87 minutes into the match, Filippos Samaropoulos notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Dikefalos's Sakis Velakos. Sakis Velakos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Babbis Kavouris fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Olympic Airways's protests and gave Babbis Kavouris a yellow card for diving instead. In the 90th match minute, Olympic Airways was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Babbis Kavouris to maneuver through the defense. Olympic Airways were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Dikefalos for a fine match.
