After having played for 3 minutes, Filippos Samaropoulos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Olympic Airways's supporters crossed their fingers, but Filippos Samaropoulos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 10 minutes, Alekos Kabantais mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Saronicos and the Olympic Airways players grew even worse after the yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Saronicos fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 10th minute. Penalty! Grigoris Tragas placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Cícero de Barros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Filippos Samaropoulos in the 14th minute of play. Dorotheos Kopanos came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Saronicos's Aris Keratzoglou. But to his dismay, Aris Keratzoglou quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. After 24 played minutes Saronicos got a freekick which was hit by Giannis Tsouganatos. Giannis Kalogiannis kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. After 28 played minutes Olympic Airways got a freekick which was hit by Miltos Vakoufaris. A collision led to Saronicos getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Giannis Tsouganatos hit a great ball. Giannis Kalogiannis struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Cícero de Barros didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Olympic Airways. If Giannis Kalogiannis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Filippos Samaropoulos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Cícero de Barros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Giannis Kalogiannis, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. When Filippos Samaropoulos came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Olympic Airways fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Filippos Samaropoulos couldn't finish the play. Aris Keratzoglou fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dorotheos Kopanos having to interfere. In the 46th minute, Giannis Kalogiannis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Olympic Airways fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Filippos Samaropoulos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Filippos Samaropoulos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Olympic Airways's supporters rose to their feet, but Filippos Samaropoulos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cícero de Barros breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dorotheos Kopanos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Miltos Kotsiras's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. In the 64th minute, Filippos Samaropoulos made a precise shot to the right of Cícero de Barros. Saronicos's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Aris Keratzoglou's late challenge caught a Olympic Airways's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aris Keratzoglou helped the player get up and apologised. In the 69th minute, Aris Keratzoglou hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eugenios Kargakos during the 71st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 70th minute of the game. One of Saronicos:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Olympic Airways:s goal. The supporters of Olympic Airways booed when Saronicos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Giannis Tsouganatos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Grigoris Tragas, 78 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Lambis Zouvelekis hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. If Giannis Kalogiannis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Giannis Kalogiannis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cícero de Barros read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. If Filippos Samaropoulos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Filippos Samaropoulos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Filippos Samaropoulos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cícero de Barros having to interfere. Olympic Airways played a much better game than Saronicos and deserved their victory. The Saronicos players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
