Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Miltos Kotsiras took the kick off in the first half of the match. With a little luck, Saronicos's Cícero de Barros got control of the ball when Gerasimos Venoukas tried to sneak it across the goal line. PANATHINAIKOS FC's Marinos Kastanias got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Gerasimos Venoukas managed to get in a good position for a shot. PANATHINAIKOS FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gerasimos Venoukas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cícero de Barros breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind PANATHINAIKOS FC's goalkeeper Evaggelos Mirtsos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Saronicos's Cícero de Barros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vassilis Semos in the 24th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Iason Kechagias kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Cícero de Barros. That made the score 2-1 in the 41 minute of play. In the 46th minute, PANATHINAIKOS FC's Vassilis Semos dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gerasimos Venoukas was the one to do the kick off. Aris Keratzoglou might have been able to make a better finish in the 52nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Evaggelos Mirtsos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Aris Keratzoglou ran back to his position shaking his head. Gerasimos Venoukas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cícero de Barros having to interfere. The supporters of PANATHINAIKOS FC booed when Saronicos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Giorgos Takounis didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Saronicos's Spyros Kakotichos got a free kick in the 59th minute. Gerasimos Venoukas scored 4-1 in the 62nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cícero de Barros, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Cícero de Barros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gerasimos Venoukas in the 66th minute of play. Gerasimos Venoukas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cícero de Barros having to interfere. Makis Paragas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vassilis Semos might have been able to make a better finish in the 82nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cícero de Barros. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vassilis Semos ran back to his position shaking his head. PANATHINAIKOS FC's Iason Kechagias got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vassilis Semos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Cícero de Barros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 95 minutes into the match, Saronicos's goal looked a bit too open when Gerasimos Venoukas came free, but Cícero de Barros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Iason Kechagias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Cícero de Barros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee ended the match the PANATHINAIKOS FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
