Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Agrinio's Telis Kostiadis started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Agrinio booed when Cariocas F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gerasimos Belos didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 6th minute of the match Eutichios Loukoumas sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tasos Vrettos skillfully saved the ball. Louis Theodoridis's late challenge caught a Agrinio's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Louis Theodoridis helped the player get up and apologised. After having played for 8 minutes, Stavros Tsakoumis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Agrinio's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stavros Tsakoumis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sven Kamionka made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zacharias Vardoulakis in the 11th minute of play. In the 14th minute, Gerasimos Belos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Telis Kostiadis's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 21stth minute, Tasos Vrettos skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Tasos Vrettos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stavros Tsakoumis in the 22nd minute of play. If Kleon Logothetis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 39th minute Telis Kostiadis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tasos Vrettos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 40 played minutes Cariocas F.C got a freekick which was hit by Louis Theodoridis. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Zacharias Vardoulakis to make the kick off. Babbis Kagiouzis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tasos Vrettos having to interfere. Kleon Logothetis who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 56thth minute tested the skills of Sven Kamionka when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Zacharias Vardoulakis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a rather tough play, Cariocas F.C's Panos Martinopoulos got a free kick in the 61st minute. Stavros Tsakoumis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Tasos Vrettos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Daniil Toursounidis lost his temper 68 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 67th minute of the game. One of Cariocas F.C:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Agrinio:s goal. In the 71st minute there was a penalty for Agrinio. Vassilis Brizolakos stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Tasos Vrettos. 3-0. In the 73rd minute, Telis Kostiadis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tasos Vrettos was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. 77 minutes into the match, Cariocas F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Telis Kostiadis came free, but Tasos Vrettos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Panos Martinopoulos fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cariocas F.C's protests and gave Panos Martinopoulos a yellow card for diving instead. After 79 played minutes Cariocas F.C got a freekick which was hit by Panos Martinopoulos. Telis Kostiadis took the ball and in the 83 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tasos Vrettos. Tasos Vrettos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. Tasos Vrettos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Telis Kostiadis's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. When Cariocas F.C's Zacharias Vardoulakis in the 89th minute got a chance for a shot 89th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Agrinio's goalie prevented a goal. Sven Kamionka made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zacharias Vardoulakis in the 93rd minute of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Agrinio fans cheered their team off the field, for while Cariocas F.C had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
