Konstantinos Kavaliaratos might have been able to make a better finish in the 8th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nikitas Manousaridis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Konstantinos Kavaliaratos ran back to his position shaking his head. Anastasios Politakis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roger Holmberg in the 15th minute of the match. Nikitas Manousaridis came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by P.A.O.K. Patras F.C.'s Konstantinos Kavaliaratos. But to his dismay, Konstantinos Kavaliaratos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. In the 21st minute, Konstantinos Kavaliaratos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nikitas Manousaridis was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. Konstantinos Kavaliaratos struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Nikitas Manousaridis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for P.A.O.K. Patras F.C.. If Akis Stathakis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. Per-Olof Thedin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anastasios Politakis having to interfere. Nikitas Manousaridis was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. 44 minutes into the match, Manos Papoutsiadis notched a goal, 0-6, to the right of Káto Spílaion's Nikitas Manousaridis. Nikitas Manousaridis was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Per-Olof Thedin got free with Anastasios Politakis in the 48th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Disappointed in the 0-6 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Roger Holmberg stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With his leg Nikitas Manousaridis managed to avoid a goal in the 51stth minute, when P.A.O.K. Patras F.C.'s Konstantinos Kavaliaratos fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When the match clock showed 54 minutes, the score became 0-7 when Konstantinos Kavaliaratos sped through Káto Spílaion's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Nikitas Manousaridis. After 57 played minutes P.A.O.K. Patras F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Akis Stathakis. Roger Holmberg's late challenge caught a P.A.O.K. Patras F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The audience was convinced that Konstantinos Kavaliaratos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nikitas Manousaridis was relentless in the 95th minute of the game. In the 96th match minute, Káto Spílaion was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ofri Villig to maneuver through the defense. In the 97th minute of the match Akis Stathakis sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nikitas Manousaridis skillfully saved the ball.
