Nikitas Manousaridis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emmanouil Kitrinos in the 3rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, ΚΑΝΑΡΙΑ's Valerios Grigoropoulos got a free kick in the 4th minute. 6 minutes into the match, ΚΑΝΑΡΙΑ's goal looked a bit too open when Roger Holmberg came free, but Alkaios Balouris reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Káto Spílaion booed when ΚΑΝΑΡΙΑ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emmanouil Kitrinos didn't get a good kick on the ball. With an all-out effort, Káto Spílaion's Alkaios Balouris threw himself towards the right post 9 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Roger Holmberg, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Alkaios Balouris made an important save on a dangerous shot by Per-Olof Thedin in the 13th minute. Alkaios Balouris didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Per-Olof Thedin went, in the 15th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Nikitas Manousaridis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emmanouil Kitrinos, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. 22 minutes into the match, Christos Telakis had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alkaios Balouris. ΚΑΝΑΡΙΑ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Christos Telakis was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. In the 26th minute, ΚΑΝΑΡΙΑ's Vaggelis Salaminiotis seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Vaggelis Salaminiotis the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of ΚΑΝΑΡΙΑ protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Vaggelis Salaminiotis had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The goalkeeper, Alkaios Balouris, was totally fooled by Káto Spílaion's Christos Telakis, who 27 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. 31 minutes into the match, ΚΑΝΑΡΙΑ's goal looked a bit too open when Roger Holmberg came free, but Alkaios Balouris reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Per-Olof Thedin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alkaios Balouris having to interfere. If Zinon Nasiakos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Roger Holmberg stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roger Holmberg in the 54th minute of play forced ΚΑΝΑΡΙΑ's goalkeeper Alkaios Balouris to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Paraskevas Panagakos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Káto Spílaion's Per-Olof Thedin got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Roger Holmberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alkaios Balouris showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roger Holmberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Alkaios Balouris took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roger Holmberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nikitas Manousaridis made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Valerios Grigoropoulos sent off a good shot on target. When Per-Olof Thedin came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Káto Spílaion fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Per-Olof Thedin couldn't finish the play. ΚΑΝΑΡΙΑ's Ignatios Roussopoulos was substituted for Eustratios Totsis. Per-Olof Thedin might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alkaios Balouris. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Per-Olof Thedin ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Káto Spílaion booed when ΚΑΝΑΡΙΑ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christos Tzolis didn't get a good kick on the ball. ΚΑΝΑΡΙΑ's Alkaios Balouris played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roger Holmberg in the 77th minute of play. When Christos Telakis fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Káto Spílaion's protests and gave Christos Telakis a yellow card for diving instead. In the 78th minute, one of Káto Spílaion:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Káto Spílaion. In the 80th minute there was a penalty for ΚΑΝΑΡΙΑ. Charis Chronakis stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Nikitas Manousaridis. 3-1. In the 85thth minute of the game Per-Olof Thedin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ΚΑΝΑΡΙΑ's Alkaios Balouris was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. ΚΑΝΑΡΙΑ's Christos Tzolis got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Paraskevas Panagakos got free with Nikitas Manousaridis in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 90 minutes had been played when some careless play by Káto Spílaion's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Charis Chronakis was slow to take the kick. During this time ΚΑΝΑΡΙΑ's players had a chance to rest. A well-hit corner resulted in Zinon Nasiakos heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. In the 97th minute, Christos Tzolis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Káto Spílaion walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
